Lager Möhlau dichtmachen! Demonstration am 14. November (german/ english)
Wo bleibt die Wende? Alle Lager schließen, Flüchtlinge integrieren! Lager Möhlau in Sachsen-Anhalt dichtmachen, keine Verlängerung des Vertrages!
ALLE LAGER IN DEUTSCHLAND SCHLIESSEN! DEMONSTRATION IN LUTHERSTADT WITTENBERG
SAMSTAG, 14. NOVEMBER 2009

Still waiting for the German Change! Close all Refugee-Camps, integrate the Refugees!
Close the Camp Möhlau in Sachsen-Anhalt – no Prolongation of the Leasing-contract!
CLOSE ALL CAMPS IN GERMANY!
DEMONSTRATION IN LUTHERSTADT WITTENBERG
SATURDAY 14 th NOVEMBER 2009
Starting at 1 pm from the railway station Lutherstadt Wittenberg
Twenty Years passed by since the “Change” in Germany, and this country celebrates itself. But there is no freedom and euqality in behalf of the refugees. They are being excluded, assigned into camps and miserable homes, and controlled by the police.
Gouvernement and Media exulting: The Wall has fallen down! Yet the refugees say: There are unvisible walls torn up against us – we are forced to rest in homes and camps, in isolated areas in the periphere of the towns and unvisited places, away from society.
In all federal countries of the federal republic local gouvernements, communes and offices do not frighten back of assigning refugees into old out-of-the-way-barracks, containers and barracks-camps. The tired out condition and the isolated areas of these should meanwhile forbid any placing of human beings. Yet this miserable “Gemeinschaftsunterkünfte” for refugees are existing for great number germany, e. g. camp Motardstr. in Berlin, Alt-Hütten-Dorf in Barnim/Brandenburg, Katzhütte in Thüringen, and the barrack of Möhlau in Sachsen-Anhalt.
The refugee camp Möhlau in Sachsen-Anhalt in the commune of Wittenberg is an old, former barrack of the sowjet-military, in which about two hundred refugees are forced to live in, sometimes for many years. In the first days of november, the home chief Frau Salzmann, the owner of the ground and the offices of Wittenberg will decide about what shall happen with the camp. There’ s no question about it, we say:
BAR MÖHLAU! QUIT ALL CAMPS NOW!
The Refugee Initiative Möhlau Wittenberg is an Initiative of refugees themselves who united together to express their feelings and sufferings, who are directly affected by the decisions of the local government which include the social welfare and the foreign office to which they were being attributed to live without perspectives. They protest against this system of isolation. We support their call for action in the streets – in order to end up with Lager Möhlau.
The Heim of Möhlau is an old fucked up barrack, 30 kilometres away from the municipal capital Wittenberg, where the Social Office and Foreigners Office are. So the refugees have to do the whole way to the office, and to the medicine and for the shopping as well (about 7 kilometres to Gräfenhainichen) by feet or with a bike. Under any weather-condition! The Bus, except the schoolbus, only goes once in the morning and once in the afternoon. The tickets cannot be afforded with the 20 Euro cash per month. It is impossible for the refugees to participate in everyday society. The children growing up here isolatedly get their stigmatization of being outcasts. In cases of sickness, people have to wait along several days for the document “Krankenschein”, they have to organize themselves the travel to the doctor, that is, usually by feet.
We require this:
Close Möhlau!
Close any Camps! Give Cash not Chipcards to the refugees!
Place refugees in own, private Appartments in town places without centralization!
The carrying on of refugee camps just brings a profit for the owners!

Call for Demonstration of the Flüchtlingsinitiative Möhlau
The Refugee Initiative Möhlau Wittenberg
They are the victims, they experienced and are still suffering from the horrible treatment of the authorities of the lager of Möhlau.
The Refugees Initiative Möhlau Wittenberg are concerned about the systematic destructio of the future perspectives and ambitions of innocent refugees and migrants living in the different local governments in ” Sachsen Anhalt” and as well as in the local government of Wittenberg, the treatment are eligible to be compared to the treatments of other Local government to which also other refugees are assigned. For example
1. As you all know the “Möhlau lager” finds itself totally isolated, in the middle of the federal reserved forest and the position of the lager is also critical for refugees that have been abandoned there for many years, with the interdiction of not having the right to money especially African refugees. Not only have they been interdicted not to have access to money, the refugees also have no nearby shopping centres where they could easily go and buy what they need with the unjustified vouchers called “Gutscheine”
Some other local governments have recognising the inhuman treatment it consist and abolished the introduction of “Gutsheine” with another alternatives. This should be an example to which the local government Wittenberg should put in consideration.
2. During the winter times, it is unacceptable to live in Möhlau in such conditions of very low and icy temperature. Together with the cold temperature, there is no train station and the irregular bus that could be available makes it difficult for refugees to live in such a condition. Trying to ride a bicycle in a cold weather is not the solution, rather it could contribute to health dangers and leads to some chronic sicknesses which could not be healed and can lead to death.
Refugees criticised the hygienic conditions of the so called Möhlau lager whereby it is publicly known that the building infrastructure itself is old and having been built in an isolated area, only bushes surround the refugees. This leads to the invasion through rats and mice. Refugees are fighting against this mice invasion and sometimes snakes.
Refugees feel insecure and fear that they could be attacked while anything can happen in the forest. Families are also involved in these sufferings, children of different origins and part of the world, innocent as they are, have been branded and treated like criminals only because they are refugees.
The Refugee Initiative criticised and protested against these inhumane conditions and are going to be protesting as far as these treatments persist in the local government to which they have been forced to live. For example, it is generally known from the refugees themselves that the local government of Wittenberg do less to accord residence permits, even “Kette duldung” to those who merited it according to the federal law of residence. To that, the Africans are highly victimised.
The Refugee Initiative Möhlau is signalling and calling for change, at the same time thanking all human right groups and activists, politicians, associations and organisation who are contributing to support innocent refugees with the aim of respecting human dignity, who recognised the difficulties to which the innocent refugees were forced to live without freedom of movement, freedom of work and exclusion from the society without integration.
We the Refugee Initiative are demanding the abolition of the systematic deportation of refugees to where their lives were and are still in danger, in the countries where they fled from. By executing these deportations, it contributes to the killing of innocent refugees.
We the Refugee Initiative are demanding for our rights according to the residential law of every citizen living in Germany.
- our right to work
- our right to freedom of circulation
- our right to integration
- our right of living in peace without been terrorised by anyone
- the right to recognise the right of stateless refugees according to united nation conventions,
- to treat refugees with full dignity and respect
- to stop criminalising refugees
- to be fair in the interpretation of the law
These reasons were one of the causes of our cry and we should not be silent as far as there is no change and we are calling for solidarity
